About Us
Mesa del Sol is a mixed-use planned community based upon principles of new urbanism. By combining job creation with sustainable urban community planning (organized into a series of districts, neighborhoods, community and urban centers), Mesa del Sol blends natural resources, economic objectives, technology and social amenities to create a walkable, sustainable and forward-looking community with a distinct sense of place. Of Mesa del Sol’s 12,900 acres, 3,000 acres will be reserved for parks and open space in a network that encourages outdoor activities and wildlife sustainability. The vision and core principles of Mesa del Sol, as well as specific guidelines for its development and physical organization, are directed by two binding Master Plans, approved by the City of Albuquerque. MdS Mission
Mesa del Sol envisions creating a safe, smart, and sustainable community that harmoniously blends residential and professional life while prioritizing inclusivity, diversity, and resource efficiency. Through innovative technologies, advanced infrastructure, and environmentally-conscious planning, it aims to provide modern homes, efficient utilities, and green spaces that foster education, economic growth, and vibrant community engagement. Focused on safety measures, renewable energy, and smart transport systems, Mesa del Sol strives to serve as a model for progress, collaboration, and sustainable living, elevating Albuquerque and New Mexico as a whole.
Montage Neighborhood
The Mesa del Sol Montage Neighborhood is the first residential development of the wider MdS community. All residents and businesses within the Mesa del Sol community are members of a Homeowner’s Association (HOA), which collects monthly fees to support the maintenance of parks, streetscapes, open spaces, community areas, and amenities. The HOA also is responsible for establishing and enforcing community standards for architectural design, property upkeep, appearances, and other neighborhood standards.
The mission of the Mesa del Sol Montage neighborhood association is to actively support the vision of creating a safe, smart, and sustainable community by advocating for the diverse needs and interests of its residents. Through collaboration, communication, and engagement with the HOA, developers, and local government, the neighborhood association strives to ensure that all voices are heard, fostering inclusivity, resource efficiency, and a vibrant community culture. By promoting initiatives that enhance safety, environmental responsibility, and innovative technologies, the neighborhood association is dedicated to enriching the quality of life for all who call Mesa del Sol home.
